Series A is a wafer type butterfly valve with a one piece body and soft seat meant for automatic on/ off and control applications. It is particularly well suited for the gas industry, PSA (Pressure Swing adsorption) plants where fast stroking and high cycling combined with long lasting tightness is a standard requirement. Full rating from PN40 and PN63 (ASME PN 300, 600) makes the series A valve a sound control or shut-off valve and a reliable choice.
Excellent on-off capabilities
- Uniquely functioning soft seat design assures tightness over long time periods.
- Contact between disc and seat is mechanically induced and does not rely on assistance from differential pressure.
- Bi-directional long term tightness is maintained even in high cycle application services and the tightness is not affected by large thermal cycling either.
- Low friction and excellent wear resistance.
- Lowered operational torque reduces actuator size
- Heavy-duty stem and bearings arrangement extends service life and is insensitive to thermal cycles and impurities.
- Clear marking of the disc position
Low cost of ownership
- Extremely high life cycle minimizes the need for maintenance, and increases Mean Time Between Failure (MTBF).
- Interchangeable seat can be replaced without disassembling the disc and shaft. Seat replacement does not require any adjustment or special tools.
Increased safety and minimized emissions
- Field proven single piece seat design guarantees a reliable operation during the whole life time
- Double packing to minimize the emissions
- Double bearing construction for both the drive shaft and the bottom shaft to minimize the bearing load and extend the life time
- Anti-blow out shaft construction standard in all valves
- ATEX
Reliable long term operation
- Eccentric Disc: No seat/disc contact in the open or intermediate position
- Eliminates wear points at top and bottom of seats for higher life cycle\
- Reduced torque requirements, allowing for smaller actuator
- Actuator designed for high cycling operations
- Two piece shaft to maximize the capacity
Easy Maintenance
- Simply remove body insert and replace seat – disassembly of disc and shaft is not required
Modular design of bearing cartridge enables easy
maintenance without disassembling the valve
